VWO and pagent

What does VWO do well, and where does pagent fit?

VWO is a popular all-in-one experimentation suite. pagent picks up where the research ends: it turns what your heatmaps and recordings show into page-specific hypotheses and coded variations, live in days.

What does VWO do especially well?

VWO works well for teams that want research, testing, and insights in one familiar suite. Since January 2026, VWO and AB Tasty are part of the same group (Wingify).

  • Integrated experimentation with heatmaps, recordings, and surveys nearby
  • Approachable tooling for mid-market and growth teams running classic A/B tests
  • Solid visual editors and campaign workflows for planned page changes
  • A practical stack when one vendor should cover research plus testing

Where does High Velocity Experimentation with pagent shine?

VWO gives you the research to know what to test. The limit is what you can produce and launch from it: editor work, QA, and a developer for anything coded. pagent turns those insights into page-specific hypotheses and shippable variations, so more of the backlog actually runs.

01

Experiment velocity

pagent takes an experiment from idea to live in days, not a sprint or a quarter. Launch capacity stops being the limit on your backlog.

02

Hypothesis quality

pagent reads the page and the data behind it. Each hypothesis is specific to that page, backed by that data, and ready to run: the kind a senior CRO strategist would write.

03

Variation quality

pagent builds variations that follow your design system. 4 out of 5 are shippable on the first try, run on desktop and mobile without flicker, and look like your live site because they are real code on your live site.

04

Implementation capacity

pagent builds coded variations itself and puts them live on the site. CRO can launch without a developer and without a deploy.

05

Team coordination

pagent checks its own work and allocates the traffic. The whole team can review and sign off, but nothing waits on a handoff between CRO, design and engineering.

06

Experiment coverage

pagent covers the pages, segments and campaigns that never reach the roadmap. The traffic you already pay for runs inside an experiment.

07

Validated personalization

pagent runs every personalization as a real experiment: against a control, on a primary metric, to the statistical standard you already use, whether Bayesian, frequentist or sequential. You see a winner against control, not a guess.

How do the jobs differ?

Both matter. VWO excels when you already know the experiment you want to run. pagent covers High Velocity Experimentation where idea and variant production are the constraint.

How do VWO and pagent complement each other?

Use VWO for the research signals and strategic tests your team already runs well. Use pagent to multiply shippable variations on the pages and segments that never clear the roadmap.

Is pagent fully standalone without VWO?

Yes. pagent includes analytics, A/B testing, and hypothesis management. VWO is optional context, not a dependency.

Frequently asked questions

Does pagent replace VWO?

No. VWO remains a strong suite for research-backed, team-planned experimentation. pagent adds velocity where idea and variation production limit how many tests you can ship.

VWO suggests experiment ideas with AI. Is that the same?

A suggestion is a starting point; someone still has to turn it into a test. pagent delivers the finished experiment: a hypothesis backed by the page's own data, a variation built as real code in your design system, and a test that starts running. The quality bar is a strategist's, not an autocomplete's.

Can we keep VWO heatmaps and still use pagent?

Yes. Many teams keep their research tools and add pagent as the layer that turns insight into a higher volume of variations ready to run.

Do we need another testing tool to start?

No. pagent works standalone. Combining with Kameleoon or keeping VWO is a stack choice, not a requirement.

What should we evaluate first?

Whether your bottleneck is tooling to run a known test, or capacity to produce enough high-quality hypotheses and variants. pagent targets the second.
